Red Flowers on a Purple Background

This painting was inspired by a tree I saw while golfing one morning. The name of the tree is actually a crepe myrtle. The abstraction of this piece moves away from the reference photo I took, but the inspiration for the tree is still evident. I really like the texture heavy style of this painting.
