Gorgeous Imperfections

Also known as Beautiful Imperfections, this is one of my favorite paintings I have done to date, and it was never intended to be a completed painting. This canvas had doodles and paint scattered around its surface. I covered most of it with a background color so I could test out using a palette knife to create the abstract form of plants. As I added each layer the painting came together like it was flowing through me from some other place.

I love the texture of this painting and the bold colors. I also love that you can still see some of the old doodles showing through the background layer. Imperfections that make the painting even more attractive.
